Terms and Conditions


Thank you for choosing Handheld Space Australia for your handheld gaming needs. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before sending your device to us for modifications, repairs, or diagnoses. By sending your device to Handheld Space Australia, you agree to the following terms and conditions:


1. Labour Charges:


We charge $129 AUD per hour for labour, which typically includes warranty coverage on the labour itself. If an issue arises due to our workmanship, we will repair the device at no additional cost. However, if the product was previously damaged (e.g., a damaged display), and we install a customer-supplied faulty, incompatible, or damaged replacement part, additional labour charges may apply.

2. Shipping Instructions:


Packaging: Before mailing your item to us, please ensure it is safely packed to prevent any damage during transit. In most cases, we will repack the item using the same materials provided by you, unless it is deemed unsafe to do so. We will carefully inspect for any damages that may have occurred during transit before proceeding with any repairs.


Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, including packaging and supplies necessary to ensure the item's safe return. When requesting a return shipping quote, please consider opting for insurance provided by Australia Post. If you choose not to opt for insurance and the return package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, Handheld Space Australia will not be responsible for any losses or damages incurred.


3. Diagnoses Fee:


If the customer is sending the item in for fault diagnosis, a minimum $129 diagnosis fee will be charged. Once the fault is diagnosed, we will communicate and quote the total repair bill to the customer. The customer can then decide whether to proceed with the work or have the item returned or shipped back to them. If the customer requires shipping, the cost to ship the item back will be added on top of the $129 quote. If the customer authorizes the repairs, the $129 diagnostics fee can, in most cases, be put towards the repair itself.

4. Physical Location:


Our physical location is at Unit 2/60 Lillee Cres, Tullamarine VIC 3043. Appointments are strictly by appointment only, as our business operates on a secured industrial estate and is not accessible by the general public. We also offer on-site repairs, and as such, we may not be at the premises during business hours. It is imperative that customers do not show up without a prior booking.

5. Warranty:


We offer a three-month warranty on both the replacement parts we supply and labour performed by us. The warranty only applies to parts being replaced and not other components/areas of the device work is not being performed on. Warranty on certain works, such as systems that are water damaged, is unavailable. Customer supplied parts are covered for workmanship only.

6. Data Loss:


We recommend that customers reset the device to factory settings before sending it to us, without any passwords, PIN numbers, or personal, confidential, or private files on the device. In many cases, data may be lost during certain repairs, modifications, or upgrades, and unless otherwise discussed, lost personal data is a given. We are not responsible for any lost data, and the customer accepts that any and all personal data may be lost.


7. Invoice Payment and Item Collection:


From the date we send the invoice to the customer, they have 90 days to either pay the invoice or dispute it. If the invoice remains unpaid, or the item remains uncollected for 90 days from the invoice date, the customer agrees that ownership of the item will be transferred to STUFF PLUS, trading as "Handheld Space", ABN 18 174 180 524. Handheld Space Australia reserves the right to sell or recycle these items to recoup our costs.
